Healing After a Loved One’s Suicide
SKP HALOS
HALOS is a support group for adults who have experienced the death of a significant person to suicide.
Registration is required for this group. If you are interested in joining the group, please use the “Register” button below to sign up.
The death of a significant person by suicide is often shocking, painful, and unexpected. The grief that ensues can be intense, complex, and long-term. Time does not necessarily heal all wounds for survivors of suicide. While time is a necessary part of the healing process, it is not sufficient on its own. Sharing feelings can lead to growth and healing.
Support groups for survivors of suicide provide a helpful space for individuals to express their emotions, share their stories, and connect with others who have had similar experiences.
Suncoast Kids Place (SKP) offers a support group for adults who have experienced the death of a significant person to suicide, regardless of when the death occurred. This is one of the few support groups of its kind in the area. It offers a safe space where individuals can find understanding, hope, and healing.
The SKP HALOS support group is for adults 18 years and older.
